Genesis Programs Inc offers quarterly workshops for those in the field of therapy.

Genesis Programs is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs. Workshops vary in length of hours depending on theme/topic of discussion. Qualification hours of continuing education credits for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences will be available at each workshop.

Workshops will also meet qualifications for continuing education credits for Alcohol and Drug Counselors- CCAPP approval.

 

Course Completion Certificates will be handed out at the conclusion of the presentation.

Understanding Military Culture

Military Alley Awareness Program- Speaker Todd Kennedy will provide insight into & awareness of the unique cultural & social background of the military community. Those who attend will gain insight into the diverse nature of the military culture, while gleaning ways to connect with & support this population through understanding & communication. Designed as a structural competency program, the presentations are comprised of interactive discussion about relevant data, military culture, cross-boundary communication, & incorporation of various social theory models. Attendees receive a placard, lapel pin, & a prestigious challenge coin of their support for the military community & membership in this collectively beneficial circle.

Information on Community organizations & groups helping those in active military and veterans will be available.
